Easy Crepes Recipe

Crepes are such a versatile recipe that you can fill it with savory or sweet fillings and can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, Add the flour, salt and sugar .
  2. In a separate medium bowl, Slighlty whisk the milk and eggs until combined.

  3. Gradually add the milk-egg mixture into the flour mixture while whisking to avoid lumps. Then add the melted butter. Stir until smooth.
  4. Cover the batter and let it rest for about 1 hour or let the crepe batter rest in the fridge overnight.

  5. Heat a small non stick pan or small skillet over medium heat, Lightly coat with butter.
  6. Slowly pour about 1/4 cup of the crepe batter into the center while tilting and swirling the pan until batter evenly coats bottom.
  7. Cook until edges start to brown and center is set, About 30-40 seconds. Flip over the crepe gently and cook for another 10-15 seconds. Repeat with remaining batter.

  8. Serve crepes warm with fresh fruit and powdered sugar or enjoy it plain.

Recipe Notes

Note:

  • If there are still lumps. Just strain the batter or use a blender to mix everything.
  • You can refrigerate cooled crepes with wax paper up to 3 days.
  • If you are having difficulty in coating the batter evenly in the pan, Just lower the heat to medium-low but you will need to cook the crepes a little bit longer since the heat is lowered or pour more batter, Around 1/3 cup in a small nonstick pan or small skillet.
