Hotteok is a popular korean street snack. A korean version of pancake with sugar syrup filling inside is indeed sweet and chewy that you'll surely enjoy anytime of the day.
In a small bowl, Add sugar and warm water and stir until sugar dissolved. Sprinkle over the yeast, whisk lightly and set aside for 5 minutes until the yeast starts to get foamy.
In a mixing bowl, Combine all purpose flour, glutinous rice flour and salt. Add the oil and yeast-sugar-water mixture. Slowly stir until combined a dough is formed. At this stage the dough is sticky and sloppy.
Then flip it over and press down the dough ball. Around 5 inches wide circle. Cook for about 1 minute until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip to the other side again and cover the skillet cook until both sides are golden brown. About 20 seconds.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
