Beef Salpicao

A simple and delicious beef salpicao recipe with savory flavors from mushroom, butter, garlic and Worcestershire sauce.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams sliced mushrooms roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon garlic minced or sliced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Marinade

  • 1 pound beef tenderloin cut into 1/2 cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine beef, garlic, salt and pepper in a bow then mix well. Marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Increase heat to high, add beef and continue sautéing until beef are browned evenly.
  4. Cook a few seconds more then add mushrooms, soy sauce and continue tossing until the liquid dries up.
  5. Add the oyster sauce, liquid seasoning, salt, pepper and butter then continue to cook, stirring regularly, for about 3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately over hot steamed rice.
