Egg Drop Soup
A quick and easy recipe of egg drop soup that can be made in about 10-15 minutes. The very definition of comforting.

Ingredients
- 6 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice wine
- 3 medium egg slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup scallions thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
Instructions

In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine the chicken stock, sesame oil, rice wine and ginger and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir in the salt, pepper, turmeric powder.

Add the cornstarch mixture to the simmering soup and stir until the soup has slightly thickened.

Slowly pour the egg into the soup while continuously stirring in a circular motion with a long spoon, fork or chopstick.

Sprinkle the scallions on top and serve.
